We install Catagory 5 four pair wiring  on all our phone jack installations.  On new construction homes the wiring is homerun from the jack back to one central location. This allows the customer to have up to 4 different phone numbers at one jack if needed. If a phone jack is not needed , it can be easliy converted to Cat 5 Data Jack for computer use.
Cable Jacks are installed using Shielded RG-6 coaxial cable. Some locations in your home may require 2 cable  jacks at one location to use Digital Video Recorders  or Satellite TV.
Mult Function Outlets are a great way to combine several different type of connections into one plate. These plates can be configured any many different combinations to suit the customers needs.

A Routers main function is to connect two or more networks together. For example routers allow your home network to connect to the internet or your office. Many routers today are a combination of router and switch allowing multiple computers at your home connect to the internet at the same time. Routers come any many different styles depending upon size of network and features needed. Most customer prefer routers with a wireless access point so they do not need to be confined to just one area of there home when the need to connect to the internet or home network. Wireless capable routers also offer the benefit of easly adding workstation or relocation workspaces thru out the home.
Switches are used where the router/switch will not accomadate all the hardwired connection needed.
These devices are a very easy and econimal way to add a workstation/computer  to a home network where wiring is not possible or desired. These units plug directly into a open USB port on the new computer to allow full access to your home network or internet connection.
